RPM Consulting

RPM Consulting began in 1968, with the first cliant Bedford StuyvesantYouth in Action. The project was to set up a computerized job bank, with the information distributed to New York City's Human Resource Agency offices. The hardware consisted of:

• An IBM 1130 computer with 16 Kilobytes of memory
• A Western Telematic Terminal Controller (now days called a terminal server)
• Fifteen modems, each with a speed of 103 baud
